500 Backer Freebie VOTE Now! + Playthrough & Reviews + TN Game Days

Hello fellow cultivators!

We hit a huge milestone by reaching over 500 backers. It's such an honor to have y'all in the club :) I have a few secret backer count bonuses within the campaign, and for hitting the 500 mark, we're adding a new Tool Card into the game, and we need you to vote on your favorite!

Tool Cards Overview

These 8 Tools will be standard in the game. The Tool Cards with the yellow border are Starting Tools that each player will have to start the game. The green borders are tools you can earn. We recently updated these tools within the game by adding the Wheelbarrow and Boots, as we're doing final development during this campaign before we hit print.

Petal Review from Board Game Co.

Garden Club and Petal are getting high praise from so many folks! Alex from Board Game Co. recently posted his review of Petal on his channel, check out his video below, where he gave it a 4/5!

One note on Petal: We're going to be tweaking a couple of the Apron card abilities. We'll be slightly changing their setup to add a bit more tension, and we're adding more Objective patterns so you'll have even more replayability in Petal 😉.

Tennessee Game Days!

I attended TN Game Days in Franklin, TN, last weekend and had such a blast! I was able to play several games with friends, purchase a few games from the flea market, and show of Garden Club and Petal to several folks! Here are some of the reviews from people who played:

I was also able to playtest some of our new / potential games: 

• Headliner - Launching on BackerKit during Pocketopia on May 7!
• Magic Tricks (a trick taking game) and Tug of Words (a party, word game) - Potential games currently in development. Yet to finalize, but we're having fun with the designers and among the team!

First Stretch Goal Unlocked! + Over 450 Backers 🤩 + Power Tools Revealed

My fellow cultivators!

Thank you for all of the amazing support for this campaign. It's humbling to see and I can't wait for you all to receive everything. With over 450 backers, we are so close to our first stretch goal, that I've gone ahead and unlocked the printed paper insert for Garden Club!

We are now working towards our next stretch goal: Power Tool Cards!

When we reach $35,000 will add four new cards to the game, introducing a new gameplay module: Power Tools.

Friendly Campaigns

I want to spotlight some other campaigns from pals of mine that are doing some incredible things:

1. Galen's Games launched their Mint Tin Series Vol. 2 the same day as us. They have a really awesome soccer game that will be perfect for the World Cup this summer! Galen is a pal of mine, and he's doing a phenomenal job.
    
2. One of our co-designers, Kristen Mott, is involved in TWO campaigns launching tomorrow: Prowl (designer) and Concrete Canvas (solo designer). I think these are great one to check out with some amazing people behind both projects.

Hello fellow cultivators!

YOU did it! We are FUNDED! 🌼 

A huge thank you for your support of Garden Club and Petal. Without your support, these games wouldn't be made. We plan to honor your trust with us the same way as you would care for the plants in your garden. 

What to expect during the campaign:

• Ongoing updates with backer polls on some stretch goals and card additions
• More content on the Solo Mode development and final rulebook completion
• Visuals of how components are coming together for the final production
• Me (Chris) to be in the comments and answering your questions! 

We have some fun things planned for the campaign, but first, we're on track to start tackling stretch goals! We have upgraded Garden Club pretty heavily already, so our stretch goals more so focus on adding content for all of you. As the campaign continues to bloom, we'll be communicating every step of the way.

We had to overcome three (yes three) Kickstarter crashes today. The first crash was right at launch time (which wasn't stressful at all 😅). Thank you for sticking with us.
