Hello cultivators!
Some good news this month. Origins was wildly successful, and it was so lovely getting to meet several backers and show them the games in person 🙂. You can check out some photos on our Instagram.
TL;DR: - BackerKit Pledge Manager smoke test surveys have been sent out. - Manufacturing is one month ahead of schedule! Final sample is on the way. - I'll be a vendor at Gen Con! Give our games a "like" on BGG
BackerKit Pledge Manager Smoke Test is on the way!
I know y'all are waiting on the pledge manager. It was supposed to launch earlier this month, but with the steep learning curve, BackerKit connectivity issues, and personnel on vacation at BackerKit, that created some hurdles. But, everything is finally set up!
I sent out a smoke test to about 5% of backers at the time of this update.
If you are one of the backers that receive the smoke test, please go ahead and complete the Pledge Manager so I can be sure everything is set up correctly.
I'll wait a couple of days for the smoke test to clear, and then I'll send out the rest of the surveys!

Manufacturing is Ahead of Schedule! 🤩
Some very good news here. We're ahead of schedule for manufacturing by about one month! I met with my manufacturer (Boda) at Origins Game Fair this month and they let me know that all components are complete. I'm waiting to receive my final MPC (Manufacturing Production Copy) of all items in this campaign.
Once I have inspect and approve that, Boda will complete final assembly of the games and we'll get them on boats! I was hoping to have a video to share today, but I'm still waiting. I will share that in another update as soon as I have it in-hand.

Fulfillment Timeline Update
US/Canada With being ahead of schedule, that would mean that fulfillment in the US/Canada will hopefully begin in late August / early September.
I will be self-fulfilling USA & Canada pledges for this campaign from my local warehouse facility near Memphis. I want to be sure to provide everyone with the best and most accurate shipping. And it allows me to offer the rest of our catalog to our neighbors up north.
All Other Regions I'm still waiting to hear back from GamesQuest on their timeline. But the goal is to stay on track for October delivery as originally estimated. Shipping to the UK, EU, AU, etc. takes a bit longer due to logistics and world incidents I'm committed to getting these games to y'all as soon as possible!
We wrapped up our encore campaign for Headliner yesterday, and it's possible that we book our sea freight for both Garden Club and Headliner campaigns so we can be as cost effective as possible. I will keep you posted.

Hello cultivators!
I hope everyone has had a great month. I'm here to give y'all another update on the progress with Garden Club and Petal. We are on schedule and moving forward!
Manufacturing Update
All files were submitted to our manufacturing partner, Boda, and have been approved on my end. The deposit has also been paid, so games are being printed! I don't have any photos to share right now, but when I have photos and/or videos to share I will do so! We are right on schedule with the printing of all game content.
Pledge Manager Update
I decided to use BackerKit's pledge manager service for our crowdfunding campaign, and I've enjoyed learning the back end so far. I have the PM about 80% complete. The schedule originally had us opening the PM in May, but with the launch of Headliner this month, I wanted to spend extra time to save crossover backers money on shipping costs. This would also save us some money on freight costs outside of the US. But I need to see the data on how many backers outside of the US are supporting both projects in order to make the best decision cost-wise.
All of that to say, I need a bit more time with the PM. But it is not delaying the process overall with the game and our delivery timeline. I expect to send a PM smoke screen (a test run) between June 12-16, and then the full invite list will go out the following days.
Convention Season
Geekway to the West I attending Geekway to the West in St. Louis, MO this month! It was so fun to show off Garden Club and Petal. If you came by the booth, thank you so much! Here's an Instagram post recap.
AdventureCon I will be attending AdventureCon in Arkansas in June! I will not be a vendor, but Garden Club will be part of the "Hot Games" for people to check out. I will be running an event on Saturday, June 13, with my pals from The Grove to show off all our titles. If you're attending, I'd love to see you there!
Origins Game Fair We will be a vendor at Origins in Columbus, OH, from June 17-21! This will be my first time to attend Origins as a vendor, and you can find me at Booth 1714! I will be running demos of all our games, selling our inventory of Holiday Hills, Jingle Bell Roll, and Kraken Skulls, and taking pre-orders/late pledges for Garden Club, Petal, and Headliner. Please come say hi. I plan to bring extra copies of Garden Club so in case people want to check out the game and play it in the hall, they will have the opportunity to do so.
Please "LIKE" our listings on BGG's Origins Preview. It helps us spread the word about Garden Club / Petal!
Gen Con We will be attending Gen Con in July/August! We will be in a 20x10 in Entrepreneurs Alley area, Booth 2753. This is our first time at Gen Con. I'm so thrilled and (naturally) a bit nervous. It's the biggest show in the US, and a dream come true to be there. It costs a lot of money to go, but it's worth it to make a dream happen. I plan to have our large scale dice tower(s) there for attendees to win prizes, a Sunday family event with a Christmas Tree, and hopefully some more surprises!

PAX Unplugged More to come for this convention later in the year. By this con in December, you will have already received your pledges for this campaign, but I'd still love to see you if you're there!

Headliner - Late Pledges
In case you missed it, we successfully funded our 6th game, Headliner, this week! We ended up with 367 backers and raised nearly $15k. We unlocked some great stretch goals, and if you'd like to hop in on that campaign, you can pre-order at this link.
All returning backers will automatically receive a free promo back of four cards that relate to our current catalog.

Post Campaign Update #1 - Thank you! + What to Expect

Hello cultivators!
Last week's end to the campaign was so amazing! We hit some incredible goals (over 800 backers and over $50k raised). I'm so incredibly thankful for your support! I want to share what you can expect from me regarding updates over the next few weeks and months.
What Happens Next?
You can find our timeline graphic on the Kickstarter page, and that lays our the expected timeline of the full project. Here are some other notes:
In about 1-2 more weeks, I'll receive the funds from Kickstarter. Once that arrives, we'll pay a deposit to our manufacturer to begin the production process. We have already approved 90% of the files and are just waiting on a few final proofs which I expect to arrive next week.
I hope to send a survey to our backers soon. This survey will help our team to continue improving our future campaigns and games in general. If you receive this email, I'd be super grateful for your time to complete it.
You can expect to hear an update from me at the end of the month, every month (like today). I'll provide details on everything happening with manufacturing and so on. These updates will also have very important information, so please be sure to check your spam if you do not see an email from me.

BackerKit Pledge Manager
In May, the BackerKit Pledge Manager will open. You will get an invite from them, (no need to have an account). This will be your opportunity to update your pledge, confirm your address, etc. collect shipping charges, etc. We might not charge shipping right away, and collect that closer to fulfillment. I will have those details once the PM is open soon!
The BackerKit Pledge Manager is required to complete your pledge and get your games to you. Without it, we will not have your mailing address and cannot get shipping, so please be mindful when it opens to go ahead and knock it out! You will be able to update your mailing address closer to fulfillment if you move homes.
Errored Pledges & Charges
I messaged about 60 backers regarding your pledge being errored by Kickstarter. Many have updated payment info and we're only down to around 30 errored pledges. Please check your pledge and make sure your payment info is up to date if you see an error. Kickstarter has likely emailed you already regarding this, and I will send another message reminder to you as well.
Headliner Launches in One Week
Lastly, our next game launches on May 7th!Headliner is a card drafting and set collection game about building a band and stealing the spotlight!
We will have a FREE promo pack of four musician cards for any returning backers. These promo cards are crossover cards between our other titles, including Garden Club and Petal!
We'll also have a pledge tier where you'll be able to add yourself into the game with a custom card!
Headliner will be $25. We'll have a bundle for $30 including a mini-expansion (saving $5 off total MSRP).
We'd love to have your support. I will also be looking into combining shipping for Garden Club and Headliner, so that you have minimal to no additional shipping charges if you backed both games. More to come!

Hello cultivators!
Since our last update we've unlocked TWO freebies: 1) We hit 600 backers and unlocked a new Tool Card, Kristi's Rake, and 2) We hit $40K raised and unlocked the Tulip Cards for Petal!
If you want a breakdown of the Tulip Cards, check our previous update here. The new Tool Card is named after backer Kristi Byrd who suggestedthe new idea for the rake tool. Thank you, Kristi, and I hope this is a fun surprise for you 🌸.
Next Stretch Goal - Master Gardener Mode
In the Master Gardener game mode, players will now have seasonal requirements that they must achieve. If they fail to do so, they will earn negative points.
This module comes with 6 new cards that include 12 new seasonal objectives, as well as 2 Garden Hat Tokens that each player will use to hide their secret objective from their opponent.
If we can reach the $45k mark, these new cards will be added for free to all backers!
Earth Day Celebration + Solo Mode Stream
Mark your calendars! Earth Day falls during the end of our campaign and we're partnering with the very talented Banzainator for a Twitch stream of our Solo Mode for Garden Club!
Nothing But Net My pal Hafiz launched his incredibly fun two-player basketball game today called Nothing But Net! I have played it a ton and even recorded a how to play video on it. If you're a sports fan like me, I think this would be solid fit for you.
Unearth: 10th Anniversary Edition Our pals at Brotherwise launched a reprint of Unearth today!
Headliner We are only a couple of weeks away from launching Headliner on BackerKit! We are going to have more freebies for returning backers in that campaign, and also will have some crossover content with other creators who are participating in Pocketopia. I'll share more details once they're finalized and our campaign goes live on May 7th.
We'll have a promo card pack with some character illustrations from our previous games available. This promo pack will be included for free for any returning backers. We're exploring the option to ship the Headliner campaign and Garden Club campaign together to save shipping costs as well.
